Remember the 3/3/3 rule as a rule of thumb when adopting a dog. It takes about 3 days to decompress. They might feel overwhelmed, may not eat/drink, and may also test boundaries.

In about 3 weeks, they'll start to learn your routine. They may show behaviour issues, their personality, and let their guard down.

After 3 months, they should start to feel at home. They'll feel more comfortable, start to trust and bond, and settle into routines.

Adopting a pet isn't always easy, but if you give them some time, it will be well worth it!
